2007 Rockbridge Hunt Poker Ride

Date: Saturday, July 28, 2007
Call the Rockbridge Hunt Line (540-462-1113) on July 27th for information on postponement or cancellation.
PLEASE, be sure to call before you come!

Location: Windward Farm
Near Glasgow and Natural Bridge, Virginia

Time: First rider starts the course at 9:00 AM. Last rider starts the course at 11 AM. Picnic lunch will be included.

Requirements:
Virginia state law requires a current negative coggins test certificate be available for inspection. You can pre-register online or please give us a copy of your Coggins to speed up registration. Pre-registration does not commit you to entering! You will not be required to pay entry fees unless you are there to ride on the day of the Poker Ride.
All participants must register and sign a waiver of liability. Parent or guardian must sign for entrants under 18 years of age.
Juniors under the age of twelve must be accompanied by an adult entry on horseback.

Entry fees: (includes lunch).
$25 per horse / adult rider combination
$15 per horse / junior rider (under 18). Juniors MUST bring a waiver signed by their parent(s).
$5 for lunch for non-riders

Awards: Gift certificates from the Rockbridge Farmers Co-operative for first to sixth places: 1st place is $50, 2nd is $40, 3rd is $30, 4th is $20, 5th is $10, 6th is $5.

Directions to Windward Farm:
From Interstate 81 take Exit 180 (one of two Natural Bridge exits) and go north on Route 11 (Lee Highway) for about 1.3 miles. Turn right onto Falling Springs Road (Route 680). After about 1.5 miles the road forks -- stay to the right on Lone Jack Road. After about a half mile, you'll come to a stop sign. Turn right on Forge Road (Route 608). Go about a half mile and turn right on Poague Lane. There will be signs or ribbons. You'll follow this lane, crossing two creeks. You'll turn left in front of the barn and park in the field.
