Rockbridge Hunt Summer Trail Riding Information

The ride schedule for the first three months will be as follows:

* Bring light snacks to share - chips & dip etc. The Hunt will provide drinks and cups.
** Bring a picnic type dish. The Hunt will provide paper plates, plastic utensils, and drinks.

In order to assure the safety of the riders and the hospitality of the landowners the regulations and procedures of the hunt field should in general be followed. The wearing of helmets is not required but is strongly encouraged. We welcome the participation of green riders on well mannered horses and experienced riders on green horses. We also welcome non-members of the Hunt if they are invited and accompanied by a member of Rockbridge Hunt. We request that members introduce their guests prior to the start of the ride and have them sign a release form.

All of the rides on this schedule should last approximately two hours at a leisurely trail riding pace. The "Trail Boss" will be in charge and his/her wishes should be respected. Directions to get to the rides can be obtained from the trail boss. In order to cover the expense of the rides (our insurance company is charging us to hold these!) we will be charging all riders $5.00 per person. These funds should be given to the Trail Boss or his designated collector. It is wise to check with the Hunt Line (540-464-2220) before the weekend rides to assure that no change or cancellation has occurred.
